Milo and Amy

Milo and I have been having fun in Arizona. It's been fun to be a snowbird!! :) We have had a few visitors and have loved showing them everything. As you can see, my nephew Hogan came and stayed with us for a week. It was fun to spend time with our little buddy.

This is one of my favorite pics of Hogan. I don't think I have ever seen him smile this big since he was little, it was fun to see that smile again.

We had to take the little guy to see the Mesa Temple, he was pretty amazed at how many lights they have compared to the Salt Lake Temple.

We had to make one stop at the Puma store, since Ricky Fowler is his all time favorite golfer. I made him pose with the Orange Crusher hat.......that's his golf nickname on the course.

Hogan loves watching his uncle Milo crush the ball. He came up with a nickname for Milo....."The Molinator".....since he has a small mole on his check and hits the ball a long way :)

Loved having Hogan ride in my cart, he is one funny kid. He tells the funniest stories and even tipped one of the outside guys with a candy bar.

Hogan always had to be hanging out with Milo. It's amazing how 12 year old boys love to have a guy around. He loved talking about golf, sports, guns and other boy stuff with Milo.

Milo put Hogan to work while at the course, I think we finally made him tired :) He wants to work at a golf course and loved spraying off the carts.

Hogan loves to shoot guns and when he found out Milo had guns, we had to take him shooting.

We went to check out the gold mines and Hogan tried to blow things up....gotta love boys! It's all about blowing stuff up.

Milo's cousin had a drum set at his house and we couldn't pull Hogan away from them. I was amazed at how talented he is on the drums. He is a very musical kid with a natural talent for everything musical.

He can really rock out!! He must get that from his cool Aunt Amy :)

We had to take him hiking. He was amazed to see all of the different kinds of cactus by our house.

On his way home all by himself....I was a little scared for him, but he did really well. I sure miss having him around, he is one fun kid!

Ok- I haven't posted in a really long time. Below are a few pics from this past year. Milo and I have been in YM and YW, it has been sooo much fun to hang out with the youth. We have gone on some fun activies, snowshoeing, hiking, repelling, and camping. I also got to go to Mama Mia with the "girls," it was a lot of fun. We even had back stage passes, but they never let me try on any of the outfits :( I think I could have pulled off the Dancing Queen/Power Ranger costume......they should have at least given me a chance. I guess I will never know :( In my next life, I want to be a Diva or a Super Hero......both have killer costumes!

4th of July - Battle Creek Falls

Finally we made it!!!

Although this was a short 1 mile hike strait up hill in flip flops, it was worth it! The Battle Creek Falls are really pretty and the mist helped cool us down from the 98 degree temperature that day. I'm happy we found out about this little gem!

4th of July - Battle Creek Falls

Milo and I had a great 4th of July! We played golf with my brothers and nephew Hogan. Then Milo and I stopped to get a Cold Stone Ice Cream - "Gotta Have It" and headed to Battle Creek Falls. This is the first time I had hiked this little Pleasant Grove Gem......who knew it was only 15 mins from my home town. This is Milo showing off his "Gotta Have It" aftermath. You can't really see it in the picture, but he spilled mint chocolate chip, fudge and brownie ice cream on his shirt. It almost landed on his shorts, but luckily his belly caught it.

5 Year Anniversary - Raspberry Shakes.....MMMmmmm!!

When we arrived at Bear Lake we had to stop for a famous rasberry shake. In fact, the raspberry shake was the purpose of our trip to Bear Lake. We traveled 1 hour just for this shake. If you haven't tried a Bear Lake Raspberry Shake, you are missing out!

5 Year Anniversary - Golf and Bear Lake

After staying overnight at the Providence Inn, Milo and I played golf at Burch Creek and headed to Bear Lake. I've never played Burch Creek, but it turned out to be a great course. I beat Milo on 9 holes......but he beat me on 18 holes. Someday I will beat him on all 18 holes......it's just a matter of time. Well at least that's what I tell him.

5 Year Anniversary - Providence Inn

Milo and I had our BIG 5 Year Anniversary May 8th!!!

We decided to make a short trip to Logan for our getaway. Milo found this cute little bed and breakfast called Providence Inn. This pic is of Milo standing outside of Providence Inn. It is one of the oldest buildings in Logan. If you ever get a chance to go, be sure to try the raspberry filled french toast......Yummmmyyyy!!!

Tennis

Milo and I have been playing Tennis almost every weekend. We got a couple of Tennis rackets for Christmas from Milo's parents and now we are addicted!! Plus it's a lot cheaper than golf and almost just as much fun. Looks like we are well on our way to become country club yuppies :)

Ocotillo is one of the pretties golf courses I have ever played! It isn't Pebble Beach, but pretty close. While Milo and I lived in Arizona, he played a few tournaments at Ocotillo. I was lucky enough to be his caddy, but not lucky enough to play there. For Christmas this year, Milo made a tee-time at Ocotillo, I was so excited! I also got a new camera for Christmas, so I had to take a few photo's of the course. Here are some pics of Milo, his buddies, Brandon and Michael Wade, and me :)

Looks like Milo is trying to make a come back, but who really cares who won a silly little air hockey game. Ok.......Milo might have won.....I don't know, but he sure looks cute! His mom told him he looks like a yuppy in that outfit. Plaid shorts, plus a golfer too....she's probably right! I guess I'm a yuppy lover or a yuppy myself. I own a pair of plaid capris and play golf too....uh oh....we are both yuppies!

Milo's parent's came to visit us a few months ago. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them! Air Hockey was a blast! Looks like a close match.....wish I could tell you who wins, but Milo's Dad wouldn't be happy with the outcome. Ok- I'm kidding, Gwen totally lost!

Porter's Place

If you haven't been to Porter's Place in Lehi.....you are missing out!!! Milo's parents came to visit and they loved the hospitality of Porter's Place. Small town fokes feel comfortable there. It's also my Dad's favortie place to eat! My mom, on the other hand, would rather eat anywhere but Porter's! Looks like you lost the bet this time Mom!
